The MRC d’Antoine-Labelle (responsible for the L’Autre Laurentides project) is committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of your personal information. This policy concerns you. It describes how we collect, use and disclose your personal information. It also explains how you can request access to this information or have it corrected, where necessary. When you access our website or provide us with personal information via our website, you consent to our use and disclosure of that information in the manner described. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website.

We collect only the personal information we need to provide our municipal services. Therefore, we may collect the following information:
Usage information
The MRC collects the personal information required to use its Web site. This collection does not allow you to be identified and is limited to the following information:
- IP address (unique number assigned to your computer when it is connected to the Internet);
- Browser and operating system;
- Time and duration of use;
- Pages viewed;
- Address of referring site, if you access the MRC website from another site.
This information is used for technical purposes so that the site server can transmit a file compatible with the computer equipment you are using. It is also used for statistical purposes in order to count the number of visits, the most frequently visited pages, the technology used by visitors, the referring sites and the country of origin of visitors.
Information about your identity in a specific context
The MRC may ask you to provide personal information in order to identify you in a context requiring identification or to allow MRC personnel to follow up on your request or respond to your message.
This personal information may be used to:
- Responding to and processing your requests;
- Meeting our legal obligations;
- Preventing cyber threats and fraud;
- Responding to requests, warrants and orders from courts and other agencies;
- Protecting your and our rights and interests;
- Cooperating with legal proceedings or investigations.
Personal information is collected directly from you. The MRC obtains your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information where an applicable exception applies.
When you access our website, your computer and the website server automatically exchange this information.
The MRC uses analysis tools (Google Analytics) for its website. These tools enable the collection, analysis, measurement and presentation of data on visits made, with the aim of understanding and optimizing the use of the website.
The MRC explicitly presents the personal information to be provided and its use so that you can consent to the collection of this information. This information is provided voluntarily, by online form or by e-mail. For example, this may be the case when applying for a job, submitting a request, subscribing to a mailing list or participating in a consultation.
Cookies are used to facilitate and optimize your browsing on our website. Cookies are files that are downloaded and stored on a device used for Internet browsing. The cookies used by the MRC do not collect personal information about users.

In certain cases, the MRC may give access or communicate your personal information to third parties, for example:

The MRC does not rent, sell or trade your personal information.
We host and process your personal information in Quebec. In certain circumstances, it may be hosted outside Quebec, where we engage third-party service providers.

It is subject to the laws of the country in which it is located and may be disclosed to the governments, courts or law enforcement or regulatory agencies of that country.
However, our practices regarding your personal information remain at all times governed by this policy and applicable Quebec privacy laws.
We will retain your personal information as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to comply with our legal obligations, to settle disputes and to enter into agreements with our customers or partners.
The MRC uses systems and technology service providers that ensure the secure storage of your personal information in order to maintain its confidentiality.
We delete obsolete or unnecessary personal information.
Measures
We have put in place physical, administrative and technical safeguards to protect the confidentiality and security of the personal information we hold, in particular to prevent unauthorized access.
In the event of an incident involving personal information, we will notify the authorities and the persons concerned when such an incident presents a risk of serious harm, and we will put in place measures to limit the negative consequences.
Limiting access
Only authorized and qualified personnel who need to consult your personal information in the performance of their duties have access to it.

No security measure is absolute or fully guaranteed. Access, deletion and rectification
You may access the personal information we hold about you and, where appropriate, request rectification as permitted or required by law. You may also request the deletion of outdated or unjustified information, or make comments in writing.
However, to ensure that the personal information we hold about you is accurate and up-to-date, please inform us promptly of any changes.
Withdrawal of consent
You may also withdraw your consent to the use and disclosure of your personal information. However, we may no longer be able to offer you certain services.
